Walsingham Camp
A short camp this time visiting the National Catholic Shrine of Our Lady at Walsingham, arranged by the National Catholic Scout Fellowship. Unfortunately there was only one other group camping, so we had rather more time to ourselves than expected. St Edmund's kindly paid for the minibus and fuel and it was quite a trek to get there. While there we visited the Slipper Chapel, the Anglican Shrine and spent an afternoon at Wells-Next-The-Sea. Bishop Edwin Regan was part of the camp as well as Father John Seddon (the National Catholic Scout Chaplain). Mass on Sunday included a renewal of the promise as well as a chance to parade our Flag. The scouts were complimented on their behaviour (and amazingly... their smartness) by everybody from passers by to the Bishop himself.
